Cookies and local storage
Cookies and local storage are different ways to keep information in your browser. This notice describes the storage used by the Xorance website application and storage observed on its Hostinger deployment. Ordinary public browsing does not require an administrator account.
Your optional analytics preference
The website stores an accepted or rejected preference in local storage under the name xorance-consent-v1. It remembers your choice in that browser for this website address. The value has no automatic expiry: it stays until you change it or clear website data. It does not contain your name, email address or enquiry message.
The preference does not follow you to another browser, device or website address. Private browsing and clearing website data can remove it, so the notice may appear again.
Optional analytics
No optional analytics provider is currently enabled in the website application, and the application does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Accepting optional analytics saves a preference. Any future analytics integration needs an updated notice and must respect that preference; rejecting optional analytics does not prevent browsing.
Hosting browser check
During a check of the live website on 8 October 2026, a cookie named hcdn was present after Hostinger displayed its browser-check screen. It was a session cookie without a fixed expiry date, restricted to secure connections and unavailable to page JavaScript. This hosting-level cookie is separate from the optional analytics preference. Hostinger controls its behavior; your browser settings can remove it.
Essential administrator session
When an authorized administrator or editor signs in, the production website uses a cookie named __Host-xorance-admin to maintain that authenticated session. It lasts up to eight hours from sign-in. Signing out removes the cookie and ends the server session. It is restricted to secure connections and cannot be read by page JavaScript.
The same authenticated session protects the administration dashboard and editorial previews. There is no separate public preview cookie. Optional analytics preferences do not control this essential sign-in cookie.
Changing your choice
- Select Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject optional analytics.
- Use your browser settings to inspect or delete stored website data.
- Blocking or deleting the administrator session cookie prevents continued authenticated access; it does not prevent reading the public pages.
If your browser blocks local storage, the preference notice can close for the current visit, but your choice may not survive a reload. Optional analytics cannot run unless the application can read an accepted preference.
Other websites and questions
Product, social media and recruitment links open other websites. Storage used at those destinations is covered by their own information. For questions about storage on the Xorance website, contact support@xorance.com.
